Unusual Ray Fink Sculpture

Ray Fink studied at the Chicago Art Institute and later became the dean of art at Arizona State University. Between his studies and becoming Dean he had several one man shows across the country. This sculpture is done in a Peters ammunition case and has 5 carved skeletal figures within. The writing on the case reads:
‘Every shot counts with Peters 22′s.’

Clare Yares enameled steel mobile circa mid 1960′s. This magnificent moving sculpture measures 6 feet across and has 12 movable arms. The frame itself is enameled black steel and the circular accents are enameled in red. Excellent original condition.

This painting was exhibited in an exposition in Santa Barbara in the late 1940′s. It is oil on linen and features two thoughtfully painted reclining figures. The painting could use a good cleaning and does have some crazing spots to the surface.
