Monumental Marble Sculpture by Bronka Stern

Bronka Stern was born in Warsaw Poland. She studied sculpture at Columbia University under Oronzio Maldarelli and Hugo Robus. This work entitled ‘Monument to the Six Million’ dates from 1959 and is done in alabaster. The front depicts a head in mourning and overwhelming intensity. The back, a figure embracing the head. Base measures at Height 1″ x Length 12″ x 15.5″.
