Two toned mahogany and brass dining table by Michael Taylor for Baker’s Far East Collection from 1959. This stunning example measures 5.5 feet long without any leaves and has 3 18″ leaves to make the table 10′ fully extended. The inset top is a lighter mahogany and the frame and stretchers are a dark stained solid mahogany. The legs have brass ends and the sides of the table have curvi-linear cutouts with inset brass circles. This table retains its original finish so there is some light wear but overall it is in very good to excellent original condition. Please see our other listings for the accompanying Michael Taylor dining chairs.

Allen Ditson and wife Lee Porzio were Arizona craftsman from the late 1950′s through the mid 1970′s. Allen was a master wood worker and metal smith and Lee was a visual artist who created textiles and wonderful oil paintings.
This table is done in walnut and was created for the couple’s home. It is the only one ever to have been produced and features detachable free form leaves. Without the leaves the table has a sculpted form with hand carved legs.
Excellent restored condition.
