Green Turn-of-the-Century Patinated Desk

An early 20th century inverted breakfront green/blue-tinted writing desk in the Queen Anne style with painted gold/ochre pagodas, foliage and bird motifs. The desktop has a worn, patinated brown leather that gives the piece even more rich personality. The front side of the desk features five drawers with original brass handles and is balanced by cabriole legs, all with carved shell decoration to the knee and terminating with acanthus on the foot. This desk has the kind of colorful wear and age that only adds to the overall unique character of the piece.
