Description
Large-scale acrylic hard edge painting by Newson Shewitz dated 2004. Shewitz (1922-2014) was a native of Detroit. He attended Carnegie Tech (now Carnegie-Mellon) in Pittsburgh, where he majored in Industrial Design and received a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree. He was also a founding member of Artists Archives of the Western Reserve. This work does have a repair on the back that was done seamlessly.
