Rare Evelyn Nesbit Lithograph
Evelyn Nesbit, a model, actress, and “it” girl of her time was arguably the twentieth century’s first major celebrity. Still in her teens she became involved with famed architect Stanford White. Before her 21st birthday, was the center of a love triangle that ended in 1906 with the Madison Square Garden rooftop murder of Stanford White, at the hands of her millionaire husband Harry K. Thaw. The ensuing trial and media coverage set a precedent for all future Crimes of the Century.
