Custom special ordered Edward Wormley for Dunbar ebony lacquered and brass sideboard circa late 1950’s. This impeccably restored example has the same finish as a Steinway piano and predates Wormley’s use of Natzler and Tiffany tiles. It has a meticulously done hand rubbed black lacquer finish.
The interior of the chest has 8 drawers in the center adjustable shelf on the left of the chest and drawer and storage for trays on the right.
The doors are all accordion doors with satin brass hinges and they all fold in upon themselves.

Pair of brass studded cream lacquered chests after Tommi Parzinger. These examples were made by Palumbo Gallery in New York two years ago and are in excellent original condition. They are based on Parzinger’s #100 chest and are perfect as media chests oversized night stands or as one long credenza.

This example is done in beautifully grained maple and has three interior drawers and adjustable interior shelving behind the pair of sliding doors. The pulls are done in a satin steel steamed bentwood combination. This chest was refinished a few years ago and is still in excellent condition.

Renzo Rutili for Johnson sideboard circa late 1950’s. This example measures 8′ 3″ long and has a dark walnut frame checkerboard lighter walnut fronts with satin brass door pulls and trim. Two of the sections have an adjustable removable shelf and the third section has that same shelf with an additional sliding shelf. The interior can also be retro fitted to your specs. Excellent restored condition.

Important Edward Wormley for Dunbar chest #5752 circa 1960. This example was done for the Janus line and was a special order in size and finish (bleached walnut and rosewood). The chest features 6 original hand carved Japanese wood blocks that are inset two per door. There are three doors that each have an adjustable shelf on the interior. There are three rosewood pencil drawers for additional storage and the bleached walnut legs have brass detailing on the ends.
