Description
Sculptural prototype chair with interlaced raffia seat and soft buff leather back by Arizona designer Allen Ditson. This example dates from 1957 and is signed. This example is more of a sculpture than a functional chair but truly striking as an object and historical work.
Allen Ditson and wife Lee Porzio did commissions of furniture, sculpture and painting around the country for universities, private residences and churches and in the past few years their works have changed hands all over the world.
